Juan G. Hernandez-Ariano, CFP®, CSLP®, currently serves on the board of directors for the Financial Planning Association® (FPA®), the leading membership organization and trade association for CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professionals and those who support the financial planning process.
Hernandez-Ariano is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, analyst, and engineer passionate about education and delivering top-quality services. He’s also a past member of the Board of Directors of the Financial Planning Association of Houston, where he served as chairman, president, and education director.
He’s been featured in publications, articles, and interviews with different media outlets such as CNBC, Bloomberg, National Public Radio (NPR), Telemundo, InvestmentNews, MarketWatch, Financial Planning magazine, Financial Advisor magazine, Houston Chronicle, among others. He was also featured in The Top 100 Magazine as one of the top 100 Financial Professionals in the United States.
Hernandez-Ariano’s credentials include being a CFP® professional, Series 65 Investment Advisor Representative with We Are One Seven, LLC, and Certified Student Loan Professional®. He is also licensed in various states in life, health, property, and casualty. He furthered his education by taking the well-respected CFP® Certification Education program at Rice University and the CSLP® Certification Education Program at Humboldt State University. Hernandez-Ariano obtained a Cum Laude title on Bachelor of Science in Financial Management and Financial Engineering.
In addition, Hernandez-Ariano has served in multiple events by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS), helping foster children in the Greater Houston Area. He’s also part of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and is constantly involved in community and research programs in South America through the Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga (UNAB). His commitment to business ethics is reaffirmed through his National Ethics Association (NEA) membership.
Mr. Hernandez-Ariano is an avid golfer and tennis player. He grew up as a Boy Scout and is currently involved in the Saint John Vianney Catholic Church. Mr. Hernandez-Ariano married his college sweetheart, Claudia, in 2016. Together, they have two children and currently reside in Houston, TX.
