CONTINUING EDUCATION INFORMATION
How many sessions will qualify for continuing education (CE) credits?
Historically, the FPA DFW Conference has been able to offer participants a minimum of 8 hours of CFP®, CPA, CIMA & NAPFA CE credit; plus 2 CFP Ethics credits. Certain/limited sessions also qualify for TDI (insurance) CE credits. View the conference website for details on the specific credits each session/topic qualifies for.
How do I earn CE credit for the sessions I attend at FPA DFW Conference?
FPA applies for acceptance from the CFP Board and Sircon and reports continuing education to the CFP Board and Sircon on behalf of all conference attendees. CFP Board has final authority on acceptance of eligible sessions.
When you check in you will be provided with a CE form. Simply complete the form throughout the day, nothing each session you attend, and return it at the end of the day.
Who do you submit CE to on my behalf and how long does it take?
FPA DFW will automatically report credit to CFP Board and Sircon (TDI) within three weeks of the conference. Please be certain FPA DFW has your CFP Board ID (and TDI license number, if applicable) by providing it when you register.
Does CE qualify for other designations other than the CFP® designation?
CPA, CIMA & NAPFA credits will need to be self reported and FPA DFW will provide you with a hardcopy CE certificate of attendance (via email) within 3 weeks of the conference. Each agency, board or organization has the final authority on acceptance of credit.
