Happy New Year, esteemed FPA Dallas/Fort Worth members! I am thrilled to step into the role of president for our chapter in 2024. We have had many incredible presidents lead our organization, and I am eager to contribute to the continued success of our vibrant financial planning community. Our chapter is fortunate to have an active and thriving community dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in financial planning and the promotion of the value associated with the CFP® designation.
Thanks to your commitment to FPA DFW, we had another successful year. We kicked off the year with the terrific FPA DFW Conference, which set a positive tone for the months ahead. Throughout the year, we hosted chapter meetings, organized the ballpark events with the World Series Champion, Texas Rangers, facilitated networking opportunities through our Allied Professionals, increased our Career Development offerings, and witnessed ongoing expansion and engagement within our NexGen community. Additionally, we hosted the Honors Awards dinner. It was one of highest attended awards banquets we have had in years. Building on these triumphs, we look forward to introducing new programs and opportunities for our members in the upcoming year.
I am pleased to share that our membership numbers are strong, and we continue to be one of the largest chapters in the FPA. While the numbers are significant, the true measure of our success lies in ensuring that our members derive genuine value from their association and actively participate in our financial planning community. Your ideas and interests are invaluable; please reach out to me or any member of the 2024 FPA DFW Board to share them.
I encourage each member to explore the offerings at both the local and national levels and consider contributing your talents and time by joining committees, supporting our pro-bono initiatives, or taking on leadership roles within the FPA Dallas/Fort Worth Board. Some of the greatest friendships that I have come from my participation in FPA DFW events. It has enriched my life in ways I would never have expected.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to our Corporate Partners for their unwavering support, enabling us to deliver high-quality programs and events. The many events that we put on throughout the year would not be possible without their contributions. When possible, I encourage our members to consider our Corporate Partners as a valuable resource.
I extend my gratitude to our outstanding Executive Director, Melisa Hall, the FPA DFW Board of Directors, and all the dedicated members who contribute their time and energy to shape our chapter.
Warm regards,
Dallas McKee, CFP®, CDFA®
