Journal of Financial Planning receives the 2023 APEX Grand Award.
DENVER (August 25, 2023) – The Financial Planning Association® (FPA®) is pleased to announce the Journal of Financial Planning has been awarded the 2023 APEX Grand Award in the 35th Annual Awards for Publication Excellence competition by Communications Concepts News.
APEX Awards for Publication Excellence is an annual competition for publishers, editors, writers, and designers who create print, web, electronic, and social media content. As one of 12 recipients of the APEX Grand Award in the “magazine, journals, and tabloids” category, the Journal demonstrated excellence in graphic design, editorial content, and the ability to achieve communication effectiveness. More than 1,100 entries were evaluated for this year’s awards, and 100 publications were awarded the Grand Award across 14 categories.
"We're honored to be recognized with an APEX Grand Award. The Journal of Financial Planning's primary objective is to provide readers with objective, actionable research and thought leadership in financial planning,” said Danielle Andrus, editor of the Journal of Financial Planning. “This award reflects the hard work and commitment to members' success of the editorial staff and Journal contributors. They write articles, edit copy, design pages, and answer questions to help members build and maintain their proficiency and serve clients. It’s a pleasure and a privilege to work with them."
Published since 1979, the Journal is an award-winning, members-only monthly publication critical to providing credible thought leadership for financial planners. With monthly feature articles, interviews, columns, and peer-reviewed technical contributions, the Journal’s dynamic content is innovative, thought-provoking, and directly beneficial to financial planners in their professional work and businesses.
“The Journal of Financial Planning continues to be among the most respected, cutting-edge professional journals in the financial planning profession,” said Patrick D. Mahoney, FPA chief executive officer. “I am grateful to the entire Journal editorial staff, Editorial Advisory Board, Peer Review Board, and our many contributors for their efforts to make the Journal the outstanding publication it has been for 44 years.”
