As a CFP® professional, FPA of Central Virginia is your partner in planning by helping you realize your vision of success with practice support, learning, advocacy and networking.
FPA of Central Virginia provides professional development and networking on a local level. FPA of Central Virginia has over 350 members and is one of the most active chapters in the Mid-Atlantic. We offer over 30 continuing education credits per year for CFP®, Virginia Insurance, NASBA, CIMA, and CLE. Our annual Symposium attracts more than 175 participants each year and our Membership Meetings are host to more than 30-50 attendees each meeting.

FPA CVA inspires the financial planning community to come together to learn, grow, flourish, and contribute to society.
Membership Meetings
In person membership meetings started in September. Free to members and 1st time visitors; $50 for non-FPA members.
Annual Forum
The annual FPA of CVA Forum hosts over 175 professionals each year, and offers up to 15 continuing education credits in two days.
Pro Bono
We provide quality financial education to underserved communities.
NexGen
Our NexGen community creates opportunities for growth, education and networking for FPA CVA members and CFP® program students who are aspiring or early-career CFP® professionals.
Women in Finance
Women in Finance promotes gender diversity by creating opportunities to grow, through educative and networking events. We encourage success, while promoting the vision and mission of the national FPA Women in Finance group and the FPA CVA chapter.
Breakfast Club
Small Group discussion regarding the latest industry trends and topics of interest. Please join us for a periodic discussion generally focused on an recent article from the Journal of Financial Planning or other leading industry publication.
