Austin Country Club

Topic:  The Art and Science of Place Planning

Speaker:  Ryan Frederick, Founder & CEO of Here

Description: As lifespans continue to increase, financial planning needs to adapt to ensure long-term security while also fostering a fulfilling and healthy lifestyle. The concept of Place Planning addresses these challenges and opportunities in several key ways, emphasizing the importance of where people liveā€”not just in terms of housing or location, but also in terms of the social, physical, and economic environment that supports their long-term well-being. By carefully considering where and how people live, financial planners can offer strategies that ensure clients not only have the financial resources to thrive over a longer life but also live in environments that promote health, connection, and purpose.

Learning Objectives: A fundamental understanding of the importance of place in providing sound financial advice, an awareness of specific approaches to engage clients in Place Planning conversations and an overview of tools to help clients in Place Planning.
