About the Presentation:  The presentation will provide an overview of business valuation for closely-held businesses and the key drivers of value.

  • Discuss the three Valuation Approaches and the various methods used for each approach.
  • Provide insight into the typical normalization adjustments made to reported earnings.

About the Presenter - John Waybright:

With a focus on closely-held, middle market companies, John provides valuation services, specializing in business valuations for financial reporting and estate & gift tax purposes. John also performs M&A due diligence services for both buy-side and sell-side projects.

EXPERIENCE:  

John brings a total of over 35 years of experience to Rehmann in business valuation, transaction advisory services, financial reporting, and litigation support. John spent 6 of these years in the corporate world where he was also responsible for management accounting, performance measurement, financial planning & analysis, supply chain finance, and due diligence for the sale of the company.

Nearly 30 years of John’s experience has been in supervisory and managerial roles. John has spent the last 10 years of his career focused solely on consulting projects in the areas of business valuation, transaction advisory services, litigation support, and management consulting.

  • John has presented and participated as a panel member several times covering a variety of topics including business valuation, M&A due diligence, financial reporting, and management accounting.
  • John is an active member of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG).
