Speakers: Dan DeMerchant & Chris Fossum, First Trust Portfolios

Dan DeMerchant, Vice President, is responsible for First Trust's financial professional relationships in Pennsylvania and Western, Central and Upstate New York.  He works closely with each financial professional to provide him/her with industry-leading economic commentary, portfolio analysis and practice management consulting.  Dan's specific focus is working with financial professionals on the utilization of Structures Investments.  His relationships include Registered Investment Professionals, Independent Firms and Wirehouse Professionals.  Prior to his current role, Dan spent time within the industry growing various relationships across the country with a focus on Mutual Funds, Exchange-Traded Funds and Unit Investment Trust solutions.  Dan earned a BA in Business & Economics from Wheaton College in Illinois.

Chris Fossum, Vice President, is responsible for First Trust's financial professional relationships in Western, Central, and Upstate New York.  He works closely with each financial professional to provide them with industry leading economic and market commentary, portfolio analysis, and practice management consulting.  Chris's specific focus is around helping financial professionals to create efficiencies in their practice and streamline their business model via exchange-traded fund solutions.  His relationships include Registered Investment Advisors, Independent Advisors, and Wirehouse Advisors.  Prior to his current role, Chris was responsible for the firm's Unit Investment Trust relationships in Upstate, Central, and Western New York.  Additionally, Chris spent time working on the firm's bond trading desk.  Chris earned a B.A. in both Economics/Accounting and Psychology from Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL.
